Title: "Red fish/blue fish"

Hanging out on the dock, having a little al fresco dinner of superb fish and chips. Feeling a little nostalgic for childhood days eating at the beach.

I just discovered your blog today. What a wonderful collection you have here! I've recently returned to my monochrome roots and am trying to improve my composition as well. Unfortunately, or maybe fortunately, i've been bitten by the Photoshop bug so am still experimenting with that until i actually know what i'm doing. ;) Lizzy

Lizzy - thanks for visiting and for the kind words. Photoshop is definitely a useful tool (like you, I'm still trying to come to grips with it), but I find most of the images by other photographers I'm drawn to are ones with strong compositional bones. Cheers, Paul

I agree with you, Paul. I know digital art is all the rage right now. that doesn't attract me. I prefer working with what i've actually shot. At the end of the day, there is something so pure and stunning about a monochrome done well. Those images always catch my eye. :) Lizzy
