Title: "Intrigued, we crept toward the veil of light"

The forest seemed dark, and a little forbidding; yet there was an unusual curtain of light shining from above, bathing the scene in an eerie glow. She walked ahead of me and quickly disappeared; I feared I would never see her again, even as I ran desperately towards the last place I had seen her. Even now I can't really recall what there was beyond the veil of light, but we were both relieved when we found each other.

I love the sense of mystery in this, and the range of different qualities of light, from darkness, to soft, misty light, to an almost sparkling light.
