Fragmentary Notes

I was cleaning up the studio today and came across these notes I'd made for myself, jotting down some thoughts as they occurred to me.

fossil/photogram/etching

- in these processes, subject is held against the substrate under pressure

TTV/Holga/Lith Printing

- not about straight reality, but reality with a nudge/wink
- shows process

history of a piece (refers to subject and/or resulting artwork)

- can be unseen but add to richness
- I'm drawn to rocks, driftwood on shore because the history of each piece is evident and adds to beauty/compellingness
